Steven Spielberg takes a novel approach to adapt Halo
The race to make a film of Halo could return with DreamWorks and Steven Spielberg, leading the way. Previous efforts by Peter Jackson, universal and Fox fell into oblivion as difficulties with Microsoft on the script caused setbacks and definitive cancellation of the project in 2006.

But DreamWorks is taking a different approach, adapting novels Tie-in approved by Microsoft as a basis for a new sequence of comandos.El movement bold and relatively safe, ensuring the support of Microsoft, who already authorized novels, and avoiding legal battles with studios and individuals previously involved in trying to bring the game to the screen.
As reports of vulture, "residual anger about wasted money is a great reason which DreamWorks explicitly saying that your project is based on the books: by quoting 'different' source material provides neutralizes any universal lawyers attempt to require that the new study repay its 12 million dollars in development costs." Do Oh, were making a film about the halo? Yes, we we are doing something else entirely.More literary.Another useful side effect of the use of books is calm Microsoft, which authorizes all them shows them that DreamWorks takes canon seriously (even if the process is terminated with a completely original screenplay). [Universal Pictures of former President Stacey]Snider, who declined to comment for this story, is now CEO of DreamWorks and knows from his days announcing Halo on the universal importance of keeping happy Microsoft."
However, DreamWorks has yet to guarantee the rights, which will be still sometime before they see to Master Chief bombing around the silver screen, but apparently it is better hope that Halo has to be adapted.
